 Derrida, Popper, Post-modernism & ScienceA while back, in this thread, I exposed for ridicule a Canadian social scientist's suggestion of a synthesis between Evolution and ID.
Jason Rosenhouse, at EvolutionBlog now has this post about a New Zealand English Professor who appears to have a more balanced view of the interaction between the Humanities and the Sciences. |

Criticism and postmodernism Abstract thinking has its place. So does science. Abstract thinking often contributes to scientific discovery. However, abstract thinking which is ignorant of the subject it pretends to address is useless.
