It maybe a good idea to have a thread that will only address responses by group members to MikeH. It appears, from what I've read so far, that he constantly hijacks threads and riles people up on issues that are totally irrelevant to discussions.

I'd encourage folks who are tempted to respond to him to post here on this thread only. It maybe a bit inconvenient, but a few shortcuts can help:

1) quote his post in the original thread like you always do to replay to it
2) copy it
3) close the response window
4) go to Public Discussion link on top left hand side
5) click on "Responses to posts by MikeH hijacking other threads" - most likely it will be on top all the time if everyone does it
6) paste his quote and then type your response

It may be an interesting experiment to see what happens. Just a suggestion?

That was an attempt to keep the threads that Mike hijacks with his usual fodder on the actual topic. This approach would limit the numbers of responses to him that are addressing his diversions to the thread, keeps the thread on the topic and still allows everyone to be able to follow the counters to Mike's posts if they chose so.

A win is a win is a win. For everyone.

The general idea of a thread for replies to off-topic comments is good. Singling out Mike is not good. I have opened up an off-topic thread, and am closing this one.
