True Fish Tales: Understanding Fish Diversity Through Morphology and Molecules

Having spent time mucking about in creeks as a child and graduating from Blue Valley North, Dr. Nancy Holcroft now finds herself an ichthyologist specializing in understanding the evolutionary patterns among the spiny-ray-finned fishes. Dr. Holcroft has done fieldwork in Fiji and has presented and published her research in national and international scientific meetings and journals. While we all are infatuated by the recent developments of molecular biology, Dr. Holcroft will focus our attention on the need for anatomical evidence as well.
